Youth arts & enrichment

We offer a diverse selection of youth arts and enrichment classes designed to inspire creativity and foster learning:

  • Summer Art Camp

Art camp is a four-day creative experience for kids who love art! Participants will complete four unique projects: an acrylic painting on a 16x20 canvas, a mixed-media piece on a 12x12 canvas, a watercolor painting on 11x14 paper, and an oil pastel drawing. The camp wraps up with an art show for family and friends to showcase their masterpieces. A small snack is provided daily.

    Youth Painting Classes

Throughout the year, we offer guided single-day canvas painting projects led by our Art Camp instructor, Sara.

  • Stoughton Parks and Rec partners with Chef Joel Olson to offer fun, seasonal Parent/Child and Youth Cooking classes where participants learn step-by-step techniques, take home their creations, and receive the recipes. Past classes have featured themes like ramen, quick breads, Chinese New Year dishes, pasta from scratch, and fall baking. These classes can take place throughout the year, so be sure to keep an eye out for upcoming opportunities!

  • Join us for our cookie decorating classes, perfect for Parent/Child pairs or Adults (16+). Partnering with Laura from Pretty Killer Cookies, these sessions offer a fun, hands-on experience where participants decorate 5 cookies using 5 icing colors and a handy decorating tool. Each class includes a take-home box for your creations. Every session features a new theme, so check back often for upcoming classes!

  • Lights, camera, action! We’ve teamed up with Stoughton Center for the Arts to bring kids in 1st-6th grade an exciting and interactive drama class. Through games, improv, and hands-on activities, students will learn stage terms, character development, and theatrical movement—all while building confidence and creativity. Come ready to move, laugh, and act! Wear comfy clothes and don’t forget to bring a pair of socks.

  • Is your kid curious about robotics, coding, rocketry, or LEGO brick challenges? Get ready for an exciting summer! We partner with {YEL!} to offer a variety of hands-on, high-energy Youth Enrichment Classes that spark creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Youth Coaching Resources

Our youth sports programs thrive thanks to incredible volunteer coaches! To help you feel confident and prepared, we are in the process of creating coaching resources for each program. These guides include practice plans, program goals and objectives, and creative ideas to support you every step of the way.
