Stoughton Parks and Rec partners with Hammer and Stain Madison to bring you a variety of creative workshops, including cut glass, faux stained glass, and painted pallet projects. We aim to offer one class every month or every other month for ongoing opportunities to explore your creativity!
Youth Painting Classes
An engaging youth painting classes where our skilled instructor will guide participants in creating a captivating masterpiece. Teen and Adult Painting Class

Summer Art Camp
Does your child LOVE art? If so, sign them up for this four-day fun-filled creative art camp. Each day we will be creating a beautiful project. On the last day, we will have an art show for the children’s families and friends to come see their masterpieces. They will be doing an amazing acrylic on canvas, a gorgeous watercolor painting, a fun multi-media piece and a darling oil pastel project. A small snack will be provided daily.
The 4 main projects will be:
An acrylic painting on a 16 x 20 canvas
A mixed media project on a 12 x 12 canvas
A watercolor painting on 11 x 14 watercolor painting

Introduction to Drama - 4 Week Session
Students will explore the fundamentals of drama in this fun and educational environment. {YEL!} Destination Mars: Rocketry Course
For students entering 2nd-5th grade
Launch and watch your very own rocket speed 300 feet into the air! Then it is yours to take home! Students will make and take home multiple rockets of varying difficulty throughout this session. We will use these rockets and airplanes to investigate basic aeronautical concepts including: propulsion, thrust, lift, drag and more. We will also hypothesize about travel in outer space, how to get a United States astronaut to Mars and life on Mars. Do you have the right stuff? (YEL!) MAD SCIENTISTS TRAINING ACADEMY
In this class, you won’t just learn science…you’ll DO science. Make and take home a lava lamp, hover disc, explosive volcano, and...of course...SLIME! Use all of these experiments to explore and discover the scientific method. Don your white coat and goggles…it’s time to begin your own journey to becoming a mad scientist (cue maniacal laugh)!
NOTE: All experiments are physical experiments, not chemical. Students will be provided safety goggles to wear during class.
